My Therapy Training

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist, licensed in the state of Nevada (#01515). I earned my bachelor’s degree in 2003 from Manhattan Christian College in Manhattan, Kansas, and master’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy from the University of Phoenix in 2013.

I spent my internship years (2013-2017) training under the Relational Wellness Institute, honing my skills as a therapist, and building my private therapy practice. In 2017, I earned my title as Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

My approach to therapy is helping people to heal from the inside out. We all have a lifetime of experiences (good and bad) that have shaped the way we respond to ourselves, our relationships, and our environments. I am committed to creating a safe space for clients to process their deepest hurts and traumas so they can experience a healing they never knew was possible!

In therapy sessions, I use “bottom-up” approaches such as parts therapy, somatic therapy, and inner-child work to help clients achieve their emotional and relational goals. I am an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist. This type of therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an effective approach to helping people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms.

My Approach to Therapy

About Me Personally

Originally a Kansas girl, I moved to the Las Vegas Valley in 2003. I married the love of my life in 2011 and became a mother in 2015. I love the chaos of balancing the roles of wife, mom, therapist, sister, daughter, and friend. I am an extrovert by nature, so I am always looking to spend time with the people I love. Whether it is traveling with my family, having coffee with a friend, or cuddling with my therapy pups… I love it all!
